Call For Presentations

You’re invited to share your experience and knowledge with professionals throughout the aging network.
The 2026 Florida Conference on Aging Call for Presentations are CLOSED.
Open Call for Presentations
You are invited to share your aging-related expertise, research, and promising practices by submitting proposals for presentations. All proposals must be submitted using the online submission form. Proposals for intermediate and advanced presentations are especially sought. In addition to invited faculty, the Program Sub-Committee competitively reviews proposals for conference presentations. Deadline for submission is open through Friday, March 13, 2026. Final selections will be made by April 11, 2026.
Presentation Formats
Presentations will be conducted Tuesday and Wednesday of the conference week, with approximately eight presentations scheduled concurrently. Presenters are asked to provide handouts and allow time for questions and participant interaction. Presentations in any of the following formats will be accepted. Sessions are 60 minutes with a maximum of four presenters.
Workshops: “how-to” or “promising practice” sessions with Q&A
Panel Discussions: up to four panelists discuss a subject from different perspectives
Point Counter-Point: opposing views presented on provocative topics

Fees
All presenters are required to register for the conference and pay the registration fee. Florida Conference on Aging will provide a microphone and lcd projector in the workshop room for presenters. Any additional equipment needed is the responsibility of the presenter(s). Equipment rental will also be available from the AV contractor and/or the hotel.
Pre-Conference Intensives
Your proposal to conduct a Pre-Conference Intensive is also welcome. Pre-Conference Intensives will be conducted on Monday, August 4, 2026. Pre-Conference intensives are workshops or trainings that are 2 hours to 4 hours in length. The deadline for submissions is March 3, 2026. Attendees will pay a separate fee to attend these sessions. Pre-Conference Intensives are not included in the conference registration fee. How To Submit a Proposal
All proposals must be submitted electronically by March 13, 2026. The proposal form will ask the following questions:
1. Title AND Format. Please provide a workshop session title that will attract people to your session! The presentation formats are workshop, point counter-point, or panel discussion.
2. Primary Contact Person AND List of Presenters. Please provide the primary contact person’s name, position, agency, street address, city, state, zip, telephone, and email address. Please also provide this information for all presenters. The primary contact person receives all correspondence and invoices related to the presentation and is responsible for forwarding such information to all other presenters.
3. Learning Objectives. Please list three learning objectives for the presentation. (“At the conclusion of the session, participants will be able to...”)
4. Description. Provide a 40-50 word description of the proposed presentation. This description will be used in the printed conference program for all approved workshops. Please use complete sentences (no bullets or lists please).
5. Key Topic. Please state the key topic area for the proposal – see list above for examples. If your proposal does not fall into any of the listed areas, please select 'other'.
6. Intended Audience & Skill Level. Please describe the intended audience(s) for your presentation (e.g. care managers, executives, nutrition programs, etc.) and the skill level of your presentation (e.g. entry level, intermediate or advanced).
7. Presenter Qualifications. Please briefly describe each presenter’s experience and training that uniquely qualifies them to participate in the proposed presentation in 2-3 sentences. A full CV or resume is not required. If additional information is needed, FCOA will contact presenters.
